IKS Training: Reviving Wisdom. Reimagining the Future.

For centuries, Bharat stood as a beacon of knowledge and innovation—its civilizational identity shaped by Bharatiya Jnana Parampara, a tradition rooted in observation, analytical rigor, and spiritual insight. This foundation enabled remarkable contributions across disciplines such as surgery, astronomy, mathematics, philosophy, arts, and governance—leaving a lasting imprint on the world. However, the trajectory of this rich tradition was interrupted. Centuries of invasions, colonization, and the adoption of Eurocentric education systems led to a gradual erosion of India’s intellectual self-confidence and a disconnect from its own knowledge heritage. While cultural symbols and rituals remain, the deeper civilizational wisdom often goes unrecognized, underexplored, and underutilized.
The IKS Training Initiative by the Knowledge Systems Foundation addresses this gap through a structured year-long training program developed in collaboration with the Anaadi Foundation. It provides a comprehensive introduction to Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), covering fields such as mathematics, science, medicine, law, public administration, philosophy, and the arts.
The program is designed for educators, researchers, entrepreneurs, and lifelong learners who seek to understand the foundations of IKS and explore how these systems can inform and enrich contemporary life. Sessions are taught by leading scholars and practitioners from renowned institutions including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and UT Austin.
New batches begin every February, providing participants with an opportunity to engage with both the theoretical and practical aspects of IKS through immersive learning, peer discussions, and interdisciplinary perspectives. This initiative aims to revive not just knowledge, but the confidence to innovate from within our own civilizational framework.
